Kenny G recommended laying the –130 with the Braves to sweep Miami. He trusts Joey Wentz, citing the left-hander’s prior start against the Marlins on 8/9 when he allowed just one run over 5.1 innings in a 7-1 win. Wentz is in what Kenny calls a classic bounce-back spot after getting shelled by the Mets his last time out, and arm fatigue is not a concern. On the other side, Ryan Gusto brings a 5.05 ERA and was tagged for three earned in six frames by Atlanta earlier this month before being lit up by Toronto. Kenny hammered Miami’s 4.21 bullpen ERA and recent slide— runs scored the past six games: 2-2-5-6-2-6 — as reasons to fade them. Although Atlanta owns a poor 25-39 road record and a middling bullpen, Kenny likes how the lineup has produced 11, 1, 4, 2, 7, 1, and 11 runs over its last seven contests and believes the current offensive form outweighs the road woes, making Braves –130 his best lean on the matchup.
