It's The Final Round said Manny Machado is in a smash spot against Antonio Senzatela. Senzatela leans on his four-seam fastball 51% of the time and has been tattooed for a .361 average (13-for-36, 1 HR). His slider (37% usage) has been even worse—.346 average with 5 HR in only 26 AB. Machado owns a .273 BA versus four-seams and a .333 mark (6-for-18) versus sliders this season, plus a .389 BA when he sees sinkers, another pitch Senzatela occasionally flashes (5% usage, .750 BA allowed). Machado carries an eight-game hit streak and sports a 39.4% launch-angle sweet-spot rate (47th of 258 batters). Even though Senzatela suppresses hard contact reasonably well (29.6% sweet-spot allowed, 100th/356), the combination of Senzatela’s shaky command, pitch-mix fit, and Machado’s current form makes the tout comfortable betting Machado props (total bases, HR) or using him as a DFS building block.
