Kenny G said the plus-110 moneyline on St. Louis is worth firing because of Andre Pallante’s matchup history and the current form of both clubs. Pallante blanked Miami on July 28th (7 IP, 1 H, 0 ER) and now gets them again in what Kenny called a “huge bounce-back spot” after facing two tough opponents. He trusts the Cardinals’ bullpen, which has been lights-out all season, and likes that the offense just hung 15 runs across the first two games of the series. On the other side Sandy Alcantara carries a 6-11 record with a bloated 6.31 ERA, and while he spun six strong frames against Boston last time, Kenny noted the two disastrous outings that preceded it and pointed out Miami’s pen is nowhere near St. Louis’ level. The Marlins’ lineup ranks 19th in runs and 18th in OBP, so Kenny sees limited damage support for Alcantara. All that makes the Cardinals a value play to keep their wild-card push alive at plus money.
