Brady Kannon said Mackenzie Hughes is his favorite Canadian to back at 45-1 because the Hamilton native checks every box for TPC Toronto. Hughes owns three top-14 finishes in this event (7th, 14th, 8th) and arrives with two top-10s plus a runner-up in his last seven starts. Kannon emphasized that the new venue is a 7,400-yard, driver-heavy par 70 and noted Hughes has “enough length off the tee,” strong Strokes Gained numbers at similar tracks (Colonial, TPC San Antonio, Craig Ranch, Detroit GC) and one of the best short games in the field. With no American winner since 2018 and familiar home-crowd pressure handled in the past, Kannon believes Hughes is live to break the Canadian drought again.
