Greg Brainos said Kyler Murray is an easy click at his current Best Ball Mania ADP because a return to 2021-level rushing would vault him back into the top-eight quarterbacks. Brainos noted several breadcrumbs: 1) Kyler publicly told the media he wants to run more; 2) new OC Drew Petsing and HC Jonathan Gannon have been drilling off-schedule rollout packages all spring, something Brainos circulated on Twitter; and 3) Brian Schottenheimer let slip that former Arizona aide Clayton Adams told him Murray ‘doesn’t like to run,’ which Brainos interprets as the Cardinals intentionally tilting the offense to prove that premise wrong. More rollouts force linebackers to step up, creating single-coverage shots for Marvin Harrison Jr., Michael Wilson and Trey McBride while still giving Murray the tuck-and-go option. Even in last year’s ‘down’ season Murray averaged 5.9 fantasy points per game on the ground. If Petsing keeps that floor and layers on three or four designed attempts per week, Brainos expects 600+ rushing yards, 6-8 scores and bankable spike weeks that are perfect for best-ball tournament upside.
