Heath Cummings said Brock Purdy is one of the easiest offseason discounts to exploit. In his leagues he’s seen managers sour on Purdy after what they view as a "down" fantasy season and a supposed lack of elite ceiling, even though Purdy still posted over 4,200 yards and ranked top-10 in EPA per play. Cummings noted that these lower-ceiling quarterbacks are exactly the archetype that gets panic-purchased once injuries and bye weeks arrive, so scooping Purdy now at mid-QB2 prices sets you up either with a cheap Superflex starter or with trade ammunition that appreciates in-season. He recommended floating second-round rookie picks or depth receivers to land Purdy before the market hardens in September.
