Steven likes the over on Dustin May’s strike-out prop against the Mets. New York has the 11th-highest K-rate vs righties over the past three weeks (22.4%). More importantly, May’s stuff has ticked up dramatically, recording 8, 8, and 9 strikeouts in his last three appearances after a slow K start to 2024. Steven credits an uptick in velocity and increased curveball usage and projects May for 7+ Ks, making him a viable betting and contrarian DFS play Monday.

Steven warned listeners not to chase Logan Webb's strike-out over at home against San Diego. The Padres own the third-lowest K-rate versus right-handed pitching in the last three weeks (18%). Webb managed six Ks in five innings when he faced them on April 29th, but his overall 2024 strike-out percentage drops sharply at Oracle Park compared with the road. Given the matchup and park-split, Steven believes the under on Webb’s strike-out prop is the sharper betting angle.

Steven said Joe Ryan is his top K target Monday in Oakland. The A's have the ninth-highest strike-out rate versus right-handed pitching over the last three weeks (22.8%). Ryan has 72 strikeouts in 63 innings this season and logged seven or more Ks in five of his previous six starts before a two-game dip. Although his strike-out rate is lower on the road (26.3% vs 34.3% at home), Ryan still boasts a massive 38.4% K-rate against right-handed hitters, and Oakland’s lineup is predominantly righty. Steven recommended betting the over on Ryan’s strike-out line and building DFS lineups around him.
