Joe Pisapia said it is finally time to move on from Anthony Volpe in mixed-league redraft. Volpe now owns sub-.200 averages against right-handed pitching in two of his first three MLB seasons, and opponents have completely flipped the book on him by feeding a steady diet of breaking and off-speed offerings. According to Pisapia, Volpe is literally hitless this year versus changeups, sweepers, curveballs, slurves and split-fingers while managing only a .231 clip off sliders. With fastballs the only pitch he can square up, fantasy managers are stuck hoping for counts that rarely come. Pisapia added that a platoon or even a demotion is on the table if the Yankees decide they cannot carry an everyday shortstop who whiffs on everything that bends. Dynasty gamers can keep the faith, but in redraft Joe advised cutting ties and reallocating the roster spot.
