Lindquist is looking to play the Under 7.5 in Monday’s White Sox–Astros game, expecting a pitchers’ duel between Cristian Javier and Garrett Crochet. He called Javier’s stuff “filthy” and reminded listeners that even in an uneven 2024 the right-hander posted a 3.89 ERA against a 4.56 xERA before going on the IL; this will be his first start of 2025, so the Houston bullpen should be fully available behind him. Crochet’s swing-and-miss profile on the other side gives Chicago a similar ceiling. Despite the inviting Crawford Boxes in left, Lindquist notes that Houston chased Isaac Paredes precisely for that pull power and Boston (er, Chicago) doesn’t bring much of it. He expects something like a 3-2 or 4-2 game and doubts the number will move back to 8, so Under 7.5 is his play.
