Lindquist entertained the idea of riding the White Sox moneyline—or at minimum the +1.5 run line—against Detroit. He is fading 28-year-old Elvis Peguero, whose 4.78 expected ERA and two-pitch sinker/slider arsenal give him little margin for error even though the slider has generated a healthy 40.9% chase rate. Post-deadline, the White Sox have been a ‘print fest’ for backers, repeatedly cashing as underdogs. Lindquist conceded that Riley Green and Kerry Carpenter provide real pop for Detroit but still believes Chicago is being undervalued each night in the market and wants exposure until that changes.
