Scott Reichel played Jonah Heim over 0.5 singles at –110. Heim has recorded at least one single in nine of his last ten games and owns a 4-for-7 career mark against Boston starter Tanner Houck. Houck is a completely different pitcher outside Fenway: 24 road innings, 34 hits, and a sky-high homer rate. Reichel pointed out that the switch-hitting Heim will stay in the lineup regardless of bullpen moves, especially with backup Kyle Higashioka on the IL. Texas’ bats showed life in their first outing under new hitting coach (and former Mariners slugger) Brett Boone, plating six runs, and rookie Evan Carter’s return adds protection. With Houck’s road ERA pushing double digits and Heim’s recent contact profile, Reichel thinks one knock is the floor and called the near-even money price a gift.
