Eric Lindquist said Oneil Cruz is his favorite stolen-base prop on Monday because Eric Fedde simply cannot keep runners honest. Fedde has already surrendered 16 steals this season with only two runners caught, a –6 net stolen-base mark that ranks among the worst in baseball. Lindquist pointed out that the Cubs just went 2-for-5 on steal attempts against Fedde last week and even cashed a +1900 Michael Busch first-steal ticket in that matchup. Cruz owns the fastest sprint speed on the Pirates and will have the green light if he reaches, but Lindquist recommended 0.1-unit sprinkles on several other Pittsburgh hitters—Nick Gonzales, Henry Davis, Bryan Reynolds, Alexander Canario, and Jared Triolo—because Fedde’s slide-step and pickoff move are so poor. With Fedde’s catcher Yo-hel Pozo also grading out as a below-average thrower, Lindquist expects multiple Pirates to swipe bags, making Cruz and his teammates strong targets for stolen-base props, DFS ceiling hunts, and SGP builds.
