Scott Reichel said Royce Lewis remains an auto-fade in the prop market until he shows signs of life. Reichel hammered Lewis’ ‘no singles’ prop at –129 on Thursday, pointing out that the Twins’ third baseman has not recorded a single since May 19 and now has zero singles in 16 of his first 20 games. Overall, Lewis is slashing .138/.200/.138 with zero hits in his last 25 plate appearances and just nine total hits for the entire month of May. Reichel added that Lewis has never played more than 82 games in a season and suggested Minnesota may eventually demote him if the drought continues. Until the books adjust, Reichel believes bettors should keep fading Lewis’ total bases, hits and single props, as the market is still pricing him like a league-average hitter rather than someone mired in a historic slump.
