Matt Perrault said the Kansas City Royals remain a team to short on offense and laid out why he is playing their team-total UNDER 4.5 runs tonight against St. Louis. He rattled off the Royals’ last ten run totals – 3, 4, 2, 10, 2, 1, 3, 7, 1, 3 – noting they cashed this UNDER in seven of those ten and have been even worse if you expand the sample back to recent series with the Astros (three straight unders), Rays (two of three), and Orioles (two of three). Perrault called the lineup "incredibly anemic" and expects that to continue versus Cardinals right-hander Andre Pallante, who owns a 3.52 ERA, 2-0 record, and .254 opponent average at home while surrendering just six earned runs in 15.1 innings. Even if Kansas City ultimately wins, Perrault does not see a realistic path to five runs, making the UNDER 4.5 a core leg of his Friday parlay.
