Pat Fantasy Dog Pound called Allen Lazard his favorite "true veteran" dart in the final round of Best Ball Mania drafts. Lazard’s ADP has cratered into the 18th, but Pat expects him to become “pretty clickable” once more Jets camp reports roll in. He noted that drafters are starving for any confirmed depth-chart news behind Garrett Wilson, and thinks even modestly positive buzz will vault Lazard several rounds because of his existing chemistry with Aaron Rodgers and exclusive red-zone role. The opportunity cost is virtually zero, making him an easy stash for late-draft exposure.

Pat Moore cautioned drafters against chasing Alan Lazard at the end of Best Ball drafts this year. While Moore liked Lazard in 2023 because the veteran already had chemistry with Aaron Rodgers, he is "not as high on him this year" since the Jets are expected to lean far more on the ground game with Breece Hall fully healthy and a revamped offensive line. A run-first approach would cap Lazard’s target volume behind clear alpha Garrett Wilson and newly-added perimeter option Mike Williams, making him an avoid outside of very deep builds.
