Mattek argued that Brian Thomas Jr. can post a rookie season on par with—or better than—Christian Kirk’s 2022 line (84-1,108-8) because Jacksonville’s pass volume will be funneled to just two legitimate weapons: Thomas and fellow rookie Travis Hunter. Recalling the 2022 target distribution that produced two fantasy-relevant wideouts (Kirk and Zay Jones combined for 266 targets), Mattek said replacing that duo with a 4.33-speed, 215-pound alpha like BTJ raises the ceiling of the entire offense. With Dyami Brown dismissed as mere depth and no proven tight end threat, Thomas could command 23-25% of team targets right out of the gate. Mattek sees a realistic path to 125 targets, 1,100 yards and double-digit touchdowns, giving Thomas legitimate top-12 upside in both Best Ball and season-long formats at a mid-fourth-round ADP.
