Mike Wright said George Pickens is an easy buy at his current mid-round ADP because the role, quarterback and underlying metrics scream upside. Pickens is only 24 and has already logged 2,800 receiving yards while averaging 16-plus yards per catch; the only other receiver to hit those marks before turning 24 is Randy Moss. Last season he posted 900 yards in just 14 games and lost another 100 yards to penalties—essentially flirting with a 1,000-yard campaign in a broken Pittsburgh offense. Now he steps in as Dallas’s unquestioned WR2 across from CeeDee Lamb. Wright pointed to Brandin Cooks’ eight-touchdown season with Dak Prescott in 2023 as proof the secondary Cowboy wideout can deliver real fantasy production. Prescott ranks seventh in pass-success rate, sixth in completion percentage and eighth in passer rating over the last three years, and the Cowboys have finished top-10 in total WR fantasy points in five of the past six seasons while struggling to run the ball. Wright argued that Pickens’ boom-bust profile should stabilize with better quarterback play, and noted that the receivers going around him—Chris Olave, Xavier Worthy, Jaylen Waddle, Jamison Williams, Chris Godwin, Jordan Addison and Jerry Jeudy—each carry heavier quarterback, injury or schematic concerns. He concluded that a 1,100-yard, 7-to-9 touchdown season is within reach, making Pickens a strong bet to finish as a top-24 receiver in season-long and best-ball formats.
