Responding to questions about why some rankers are fading Jameson Williams, Murphy said he’s still loading up on the Lions speedster. Williams owns true 40-point single-game potential, plays half his schedule in a dome, and is tethered to a Ben Johnson offense that finished top-six in explosive pass rate last season. Trade rumors don’t scare Murphy—he only worries about suspensions, and there’s no credible smoke on that front. At a mid-Round-9 cost, Murphy believes drafters are paying for Williams’ floor while getting free access to a league-winning ceiling comparable to what Gabe Davis flashed in 2022 playoff formats.
