Chris Raybon doubled down on Trevor Lawrence as a breakout, this time drilling into the Liam Cohen effect. Raybon highlighted three problem areas that have capped Lawrence’s fantasy ceiling – yards after catch (bottom-4 a year ago), efficiency on throws released in under 2.5 seconds (near the league cellar), and a red-zone TD rate of just 20% versus a 25% league average. He pointed out that Baker Mayfield experienced massive jumps in all three categories during Cohen’s lone year running Tampa’s offense: YAC per completion climbed almost a full yard into the top-10, quick-throw yards per attempt vaulted near the league lead, and Mayfield’s red-zone TD rate soared to 37%. Raybon believes those schematic gains will transfer to Jacksonville because Cohen emphasizes motion, predetermined “scheme throws,” and red-zone play design born from the McVay tree. He also noted Cohen’s immediate impact on the Bucs’ offensive line – taking an identical personnel group from bottom-2 to top-6 in run-blocking yards before contact – as another lever that should give Lawrence cleaner pockets and more YAC opportunities. With better health, an upgraded line, and Cohen calling plays, Raybon projected Lawrence to leap from the QB2 cluster into the top-6-to-8 range, making him a priority mid-round pick in season-long and best-ball drafts.
