Andy Holloway stumped for Tyler Warren as a ninth-round tight-end steal with every-down upside. Indianapolis spent pick 14 on Warren, then left him on the field for every first-team snap in the preseason opener where he caught all three targets on varied route types (hitch, deep out, play-action crosser). Warren led all of college football in receiving yards versus man coverage last season, posted higher targets-per-route run and yards-per-route run than top prospect Brock Bowers, and was even used in Wildcat looks, underscoring his athletic versatility. With only solid but unspectacular options like Michael Pittman and undersized slot man Josh Downs on the perimeter, Holloway expects Anthony Richardson or Daniel Jones to funnel throws to Warren’s huge catch radius. The Colts’ middling defense should force a pass-heavy script, and Holloway believes Warren can follow the Sam LaPorta rookie trajectory, paying off handsomely at TE9 prices.
