Tom Jacobs called Davis Bryant his slam-dunk flier of the week, locking him in at 170-1 to win the ISCO Championship. Jacobs cannot reconcile the price with Bryant’s recent run on the Korn Ferry Tour—finishes of 4th, 23rd, 30th, 10th and 4th in his last five starts while gaining strokes in every major category. He thinks the new Champions at Keene Trace-style par-70 suits Bryant’s strengths: accurate driver, strong mid-iron play and a putter that ranks top-25 on the KFT this season. Jacobs likened the setup to Colonial and last week’s John Deere, two courses where smaller hitters with wedge-heavy approaches thrive. With the field largely comprised of journeymen and PGA Tour rookies, he believes Bryant’s ceiling is being mis-priced by at least 100 points and called the ticket his favorite across both the Scottish Open and ISCO slates.
