MMA Guru projected a first-round TKO for Junior Tafa in his light-heavyweight debut against Tucko Tokos. Guru emphasized that Tafa has trimmed down from a bulky heavyweight frame to a "lean and mean" 205-pounder, improving his speed and cardio. Tokos, meanwhile, is 0-3 in the UFC, was finished in his debut, and most recently surrendered a rear-naked choke without resistance—"no success at any moment in the fight," per Guru. Tafa at least has documented flashes of power, including a round-two TKO his last time out and moments where he stunned Muhammad Usman. Given Tokos’ complete lack of positive octagon moments and his porous defense, Guru views Tafa by KO/TKO—and especially Tafa round-1 props—as the only reasonable bet.
