Matt Perrault said he likes the Golden Knights tonight but only at the right price. The overnight money-line has climbed to –135, a number he called ‘a little too steep.’ Perrault’s plan is to wait for day-of action to knock the tag down to roughly –120, where he will fire a full unit on Vegas. He believes recreational bettors will jump on Edmonton after their power-play barrage against Minnesota, which could push the Knights back toward his buy point. Until that happens he will pass pre-flop and look for an in-game entry or the cheaper pregame –120 he expects to appear once market limits rise this afternoon.
