R.J. White said he is betting Trevor Lawrence to stay below the market line of 22.5 passing touchdowns. White pointed to three key issues: 1) Lawrence owns the lowest TD-rate of any quarterback with 1,600+ attempts since 2021, so history says he does not convert yards to scores efficiently; 2) Jacksonville’s first seven games feature Cincinnati, Houston, San Francisco, Kansas City, Seattle and the Rams, a brutal stretch that should suppress early scoring and magnify every missed week if Lawrence gets dinged again; 3) the rebuilt offensive line and first-time play-caller Liam Cohen create extra growing-pain risk, while Baker Mayfield’s 2023 outlier of 41 TDs under Cohen came with a sturdier line and deeper weapons. White believes 25 touchdowns is Lawrence’s absolute ceiling if he plays 17 games, leaving little margin for an over. Any ankle, shoulder or concussion flare-up would make the under a near lock.
