Andy Lang said he is flat-out fading Jimmy Flick again and backing Matt Schnell either on the money-line or, preferably, inside-the-distance. Lang argued Flick offers zero knockout threat— he has never scored a UFC knockdown and lands only 2.1 significant strikes per minute—so Schnell’s notoriously fragile chin is less of a concern. Schnell, meanwhile, averages 4.3 sig-strikes per minute, owns a 58 % striking accuracy edge over Flick and carries legitimate submission skill when fights hit the mat. Lang noted Flick’s only path is a frantic grappling blitz, but Schnell defends 65 % of takedowns and scrambles well. Flick retired in 2021, returned after “a walking country song” of personal issues, and has been finished in both comeback bouts (KO by Charles Johnson, TKO by Alessandro Costa). Lang expects Flick to shoot recklessly, wind up under Schnell and get pounded out or caught in a choke by Round 2. He advised Schnell ITD at +110 or the sub/TKO prop ladder for bigger payouts.
